In 2007, Pastor Ope Awolesi received a clear word from God to plant a church in East London. Three years of preparation, prayer, and unwavering trust later, in December 2010, that word became reality, and Great Light Church was born.
What started as a small gathering of believers has grown into a thriving, multicultural family drawn from every background, culture, and walk of life, united by one unshakeable conviction: that the light of Christ changes everything.
Today, GLC London is a vibrant community in the heart of Canary Wharf, committed to carrying the light of Christ into every corner of our city and beyond.
